Hi, I'm Fabian.
More than anything, I want to go all in with a brilliant team turning what people deal with every day into companies they rely on for decades.
When I was 19, I landed in San Francisco, slept the first night on the airport floor, and had no clue of anything. A few days later, I started at Berkeley and for the first time, I met people going all in - not on the title, not on the company name, just on solving an actual problem. Ambiguous challenges with no playbook, where finding a way through could shape the world. I dug deeper and realized this is exactly what I want to do with my life (↗ things that drive me).
Ever since, I've deeply admired the people who committed their whole life to one thing, had the resilience to make it work, and ended up impacting millions of lives in different ways. These are the people I look up to. Some I've met, others still on my list: Toto Wolff, Christian Hecker, Christian von Koenigsegg, Arda Saatçi, Josh Kushner, Oliver Samwer… (↗ people who inspire me)
Nothing pulls me forward like trying things I'm not sure I can pull off. Not the best at anything - just the one who won't stop trying. Grabbed my shoes, ran a 100km ultra in less than 10h . Won prize money at hackathons in Stockholm, London, Paris, Munich, and Berlin without knowing where I'd sleep . Built tools I now use every day, like HeyFlo or TokenMeter .
I absolutely love listening to podcasts. For four years now, I've fallen asleep listening to people tell their stories. How they got going and what they only understood years later. A lot of it stayed with me and still shows up when I think through things (↗ content that shapes me).
Currently making the jump to a new chapter…
